Pastor Roger Harrison
Pastor Harrison has served the Open Bible Baptist Church in Manitowoc, Wisconsin since the year 2000 when he was called as their pastor and sent from his home church in Illinois where he served with Shannon as a volunteer youth pastor for 8 years. He officially organized the church in 2002 from a handful of people and worked as a bi-vocational pastor until the year 2007 when he became their full-time pastor and they purchased the building where the church is now located.
God called Pastor Harrison into the Gospel ministry from a career in building automation where he worked for 3 years as a field technician in the Chicago area and 10 years as a software engineer for Siemens. He has also served his local community as a volunteer chaplain for the MTPD police, fire, and Sheriff’s Office since 2010. Pastor Harrison has also been using his gifts in the community as a casual chaplain for Froedtert/Holy Family Memorial Hospital since 2018. Pastor Roger and Shannon raised their 5 children in Manitowoc and continue to serve their church and community.
Pastor Harrison is a graduate from the Pensacola Bible Institute in Pensacola, Florida and also holds an Associate of Electronics Engineering Degree from DeVry Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of ICPC, the International Conference of Police Chaplains. He also works extensively with a joint Christian youth camp program where he trains and leads youth workers every year from Baptist churches all over the state of Wisconsin. Pastor Harrison has extensive travel experience having served in missions work all over the world including Mexico, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
